Onboarding

Client sign-in shipped: email + password accounts, a guided broker-connect flow that verifies your Tradier token against Tradier itself before storing it (encrypted), and self-serve password reset by email link.

Platform

Control-plane API went end-to-end: created a paper account, placed a real options order, and closed it — all through our own REST API against a broker sandbox, in seconds.

Client-owned data connections shipped: an instance now pulls live option quotes directly from a client's own Interactive Brokers gateway — their entitlement, their instance only, never shared across accounts.

Live trading specifically — beyond paper — also waits on a separate, non-engineering gate: regulatory registration and legal review. That one doesn't move just because the code is ready, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

Questions worth answering directly.

Is this investment advice?: No. OptionBug is software you configure and run against your own brokerage account. Nothing on this page, or in the product, is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Do you ever hold my money?: No. You connect your own brokerage account directly (Tradier or Interactive Brokers); we never take custody of funds or securities at any point.
When can I trade live?: Live trading is gated until our regulatory review, including potential investment adviser registration, is complete. Paper trading opens first, well before that.
What brokers do you support?: Tradier for execution today; Interactive Brokers for direct client-owned data access. More brokers are on the roadmap, not yet scheduled.
What does joining the waitlist get me?: Build updates as phases close, first access when paper trading opens, and founding-member pricing when paid tiers go live.
